I think they are dreaming when it comes to Mt. Brighton. The place has probably two trees on the hill and is one of the last resorts people from MI go to. It really has nothing to offer in comparison to other MI resorts. I can see why Brighton took this deal. It is a steal for them. They are probably laughing all the way to the bank on this one. Rumors say they were on the verge of shutting the doors. Someone has some good connections!

I’ve never been to Mt. Brighton, so I appreciate the fact that you’ve left a comment with your perspective, Jon. Given that, I wonder why Vail didn’t pick up Mt. Holly, Alpine Valley, Pine Knob, or, to pick a place at a greater distance from Detroit, Caberfae. In the case of the Twin Cities, Afton was probably their best bet, as it is by far the most visited ski area in the region.

Afton probably was the best bet. I think it is the most widely known for sure. Not sure about Brighton. Excited to see what changes. They must have shown good numbers somehow. Maybe the golf?
